Rake Up Waupaca with Us!
Join Volunteer Waupaca and Volunteer Fox Cities for the first-ever Rake Up Waupaca, a community service project that connects volunteers with older adults, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and local nonprofits that could use a little extra help with fall yard cleanup. By helping rake leaves and tidy outdoor spaces, volunteers make a meaningful difference while helping neighbors and community organizations maintain safe, welcoming properties and enjoy the beauty of the fall season.
Event Dates
October 24 – November 7, 2026
Volunteer teams and homeowners/nonprofit representatives will coordinate a day and time that works best for everyone during the event period.
What Volunteers Will Do
Rake leaves in a homeowner’s yard or on a nonprofit’s property
Move leaves to the curb for city collection or to another designated area requested by the homeowner or nonprofit
How It Works
Sign Up
Individuals and groups can register now through October 23, 2026 (deadline extended from October 16).
Volunteer as:
An individual volunteer
A team of 2 to 6 people
Great team options include:
Coworkers
Families (children as young as 4 may participate with an adult)
Faith communities
Youth groups
Friends and neighbors
Don’t have a team? No problem! We’ll match individual volunteers with a team.
Get Assigned
After registration, a member of the Rake Up Waupaca team will provide volunteers and team leaders with event details and instructions.
Schedule the Cleanup
Team leaders will contact their assigned homeowner(s) or nonprofit site contact(s) to arrange a cleanup date and time during the event period.
Complete the Project
Teams will be assigned one or more homes or nonprofit properties based on the size and needs of the project. Once the yard work is finished, simply let us know your project has been completed.
Make a Difference This Fall
A few hours of your time can help a neighbor prepare for winter or support a local nonprofit in maintaining a welcoming outdoor space, all while building a stronger, more connected community.
