Volunteer Fox Cities
Our Story
Our Story:
Volunteer Fox Cities, formerly known as the Volunteer Center of East Central Wisconsin, was founded in 1993 by the Volunteer Action Council (VAC) Fox Cities with the support of the Aid Association for Lutherans, now known as Thrivent. The organization began in a one-room office located at the Thompson Community Center.
Since then, Volunteer Fox Cities has grown into a trusted community resource, serving as a conduit between nonprofits, volunteers, and businesses. Today, we support hundreds of nonprofit organizations, thousands of community volunteers, and many corporations and business partners across Outagamie, Winnebago, Waupaca, and Calumet counties. Our work continues to strengthen communities by connecting people with meaningful opportunities to give their time and talent.
Our Mission:
We bring people together to spark meaningful change.
Our Vision:
Strong, connected communities where belonging, kindness, and resilience thrive.
Inspiring Connection. Igniting change.
Volunteer Fox Cities’ Land Acknowledgement:

We acknowledge these tribes were forcibly removed but still remain present and connected to the land today. We recognize the importance of respecting tribal sovereignty. We honor the strength and survival of indigenous communities. We are committed to listening and continuously supporting the original stewards of this land.
